WHY RTTR?

The Founder

Realtors® to the Rescue was founded in 2005 by Suzy Thomas, a Realtor® from Dreamtown Realty, to empower Realtors® to help connect people with homeless pets..

Originally, Suzy's vision was to empower Realtors® to find homes for pets in need.  The organization has since expanded its efforts, and now, in addition to pairing pets and owners, it supports shelters and pet rescue organizations.

An enormous boost came in 2009, when RTTR was chosen as one of the official programs of the Chicago Association of Realtors®.  Through this partnership, and with the assistance of a strong network of volunteers, RTTR has broadened its charitable reach and magnified its successes.
